OVERVIEW

 

Besides the tropical beaches, Vietnam has something for nature and authentic culture lovers. So where can we find out that? That is Yen Bai Eco Tour which offering non-touristic-trail, various sporty activities and truly authenic experience with the local community.

It takes us around 5 hours (nearly 160km to the north west of Hanoi) to get there from Hanoi city center, we will witnes the diversity of geography from the bustling city to the mountainouse area and the evergreen valley with the typical countryside scenery.

 

Yen Bai is not good choice for the city lovers but being an amazing place for Real Nature Lovers and Eco Tour Lovers also – a forgotten valley in Vietnam.

 

By visiting there and come with us, you will step on another world of peace: super friendly local, swimming in the waterfall and panoramic view from the peak of mountain.

DETAILED PROGRAM

Day 1: Hanoi – Clim up to the peak – Panoramic view – Watch husking rice procession - Hanoi (Lunch and Dinner)

7:30 Starting from Hanoi. We will pick you up at Opera House (or hotels inside Hanoi Old Quarter) then heading to Yen Bai town where leading you to a UNKNOWN part of Vietnam.

13:00 Enjoy lunch with traditional food of Tay ethnic people

Menu:

• Stir-fried baby bamboo with pork

• Deep-fried chicken without bone

• Tofu with tomato sauce

• Seasonal fried vegetables

• Fried sweet potatos

• Steamed-Rice

• Seasonal fruits

14:30: We hike about 6 km to the peak of Khau Chau to admire the panoramic view of the valley, visit many farms on the roads and see how people cultivating corn farms, casava farms and, bamboo shoot on very sloping area. Watching sunset from Khau Chau peak.

 

17:00 On the way back to homestay, we drop-in the local house to witness the interesting procession of husking rice

18:00 Enjoy cooking demonstration with the local family host. It is time to be a real local, step out the garden, pick-up the vegetables, wash it and cook it with the host’s guidance.

19:00: Having dinner with what we cooked then try local rice wine. Its time to talk and hear our local explain how to do hand-made rice wine in traditional technique.

After dinner, we will sing karaoke together and eat barbecue sweet potatoes or corns that should be lots of fun.

 

Day 2: Yen Bai Valley – Cycle - Waterfall - Swim - Hanoi (Breakfast and lunch)

08:00: Get up and do meditation on the stilt house, watch the sunrise in the valley.

8:00: Having breakfast next to the garden with some tea and coffee. A perfect way to start your newday.

8:30: This morning, we come to explore Na Ken waterfall and Cave. By cycling, it takes us 45 minutes to get there, ride along Khuoi Luong stream to the village, which is home to Tay and Dzao people. We leave the bicycles on the road then trekking about 1km to the Na Ken waterfall and climbing to the hidden Cave. This is very special one where the waterfall goes through a cave and the range of limestone formation. Then we go back to Ban Kheo village and swim there if enough time.

11:30: Back to homestay for local cuisines

12:30 Get on the bus back to Hanoi

18:30: Arrive in Hanoi, tour ends.
