DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

DAY 3: HANOI – YEN BAI – VISIT REMOTE ETHNIC VILLAGE

Our trip will start at 08:00, escape from the bustling city to immerse ourselves in the rural area with fresh air. At 13:00 Arrive in one hidden ethnic village in Yen Bai province – the very remote area in the North. Get off the bus and hike to the local stilt-house where we will spend our night here.

After clearing greeting customs, we check-in our homestay, change suitable clothes for trekking in this afternoon. Our trekking route is through the vast terraced rice fields, the picturesque ethnic villages with the scattered stilt-houses on the hills and mountains. We can trek all day without seeing any tourist except for our group.

At late afternoon, return to the homestay, take a shower before take part in helping our host to cook dinner. Watching the host cooking demonstration then practicing should be never-forget experience. Spend your first night in the homestay.

 

DAY 4: YEN BAI TREKKING/HIKING/BIKING/DYEING INDIGO

Today, we will learn how the ethnic people dye indigo their clothes which existing from the ancient civilization of Egypt, Greece and Africa. Nowadays, it is quite popular in the hill tribes in Asian countries such as: India, China and Vietnam. Hereunder are some main steps in the dying procession:

• Boiling the leaves of Anil (indigo), Terminalia Catappa or Green tea

• Soaking the fabric into this natural color liquid

• Drying out the cloth

• Decorate the cloth by batik technique to create the very unique décor.

Spend our second night in homestay.

 

DAY 5: YEN BAI – HANOI - NIGHT TRAIN TO PHONG NHA NATIONAL PARK

Today, farewell bid to the host family to return to Hanoi.

At night, we catch the night train to Phong Nha National Park which is well-known for Son Doong giant cave. Hollywood crew came to shoot film there in 2017.

DAY 6: ARRIVE IN PHONG NHA EARLY MORNING

Early morning, arrive in Dong Hoi train station. You can take a shuttle bus on your own arrangement or book tour with us which included round trip train station transfer.

DAY 7: FREE IN PHONG NHA NATIONAL PARK FOR YOUR OWN BUSINESS

DAY 8: PHONG NHA – PRIVATE TRANSFER TO HUE (Driver only)

At 08:00, our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel in Phong Nha then heading to Hue for 4.5 hour drive. On arrival, check-in hotel and relax at your leisure time. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 9: FREE DAY IN HUE (B/L)
