Just imagining where we can go for the summer vacation in Vietnam? If there is somewhere we can get closer to the evergreen nature, enjoy a scenic boat trip and hiking through the jungle, crossing some streams that should be perfect. So where is it that place? This is Ba Be national park with Dau Dang waterfall located in the northeast of Hanoi and it takes us 5 hours to Ba Be National Park from Hanoi or 2-hour drive from Ban Gioc waterfall.

For the transportation, it is very convenient with 2 choices: Private car or Highly Quality Shuttle bus from Hanoi to Ba Be and from Ba Be to Ban Gioc waterfall.

PROGRAM 2 DAY TOUR: FROM US$119 per person

 

Day 1 HANOI – BA BE HIKING AND BIKING

You are advised to be ready at 07:30 at your hotel’s lobby for 5-hour drive to Ba Be – best national park in Vietnam. On the bus journey, we get some stops for:

Visiting Lu local market to learn how to choose the raw meats/vegetables with high quality and the bargaining culture among the local villages. 

Then moving forward along with the windy road from the flat geography to the mountainous ranges. Our guide will recommend some places we can stop for taking priceless photos.

At 13:00 Arrive to Ba Be national park, then take short wooden boat trip to check-in homestay that is the local house of Tay ethnic hill tribe.

After lunch, start hiking through the ethnic villages on small paths and exploring the surrounding environment where you can’t find out any one except your group.

At night, sampling the specialties of Ba Be during the dinner with the host family before enjoy the first night inside the park.

Day 2 TREKKING THROUGH JUNGLE - HANOI

Today, our main attraction is to take picturesque boat trip on the lake.

Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of this lake with very calm and turquois water.

It is not only beauty spot but also its biodiversity of fauna and flora.

In the middle way, stop to visit Dau Dang waterfall and Puong cave before having lunch with lovely Vietnamese local food.

Have a short break then approaching to Hanoi around 18:00 if no traffic jam. End Ba Be – Bac Can national park 1 night homestay tour

PROGRAM 3 DAY TOUR: FROM US$195 per person

 

DAY 1: HANOI – BAN GIOC – HOME HOSTED DINNER AT HOMESTAY

Staring our Ban Gioc Waterfall and National Park Tour with a long drive on bus from Hanoi to Cao Bang, it takes us around 8-9 hours on bus. However, it deserves to be visited because of its untouched landscapes as well as colorful local culture.

En-route, we will have some stops to free our legs and visit the ethnic villages “Huong” ethnic village which is specialized on making Incense Stick. The local use it to pray for their ancestor and the death as well.

At late afternoon, we will arrive Cao Bang and check-in the local house. Take a shower and after gentle short walk in surrounding, we will help the host family to cook food for our dinner. Then enjoy what we cooked for our cozy dinner.

DAY 2: VISIT BAN GIOC WATERFALL & NGUOM NGAO CAVE – BA BE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, take short drive to Ban Gioc Waterfall – Trung Khanh district. Nearly noon time, we get there and start our gentle boat trip by bamboo raft to sightsee one of the best wonderful waterfall in Vietnam. This one is very special as it is nearby border with China, you can also visit both countries at the same time when visiting this fall.

Following lunch, visiting Nguom Ngao cave which seems to be natural fridge and just 2km from the fall. Our guide also need to bring torch when go inside the cave. When exploring this cave, our guide will explain to you how the stalagmites and stalactites can be created and how they can meet each other to create the big limestone column inside cave.

After that, drive straightly to Ba Be national park. Overnight in the homestay (clean one)

DAY 3: TREKKING INSIDE PARK – VISIT ETHNIC VILLAGES - HANOI

After the breakfast at your homestay, we will have some optional outdoor activities for your choice:

•           Trekking through ethnic villages and take closer to the local community

•           Biking through the trails nearby the lake and through ethnic villages with some stops at the local house for chatting

•           Kayaking on Ba Be lake and take a fresh swim if want

Following lunch, we return to Hanoi around 5-6 pm. Tour ends.
