WEATHER NOTICE

  • Laos weather is similar to other Asia countries at same area with two main seasons: Dry season from October to late April and Wet season from May to late September. In addition, each season has a range of various temperature. The hottest month is May and June at the begining of Wet season. 

  • However, if travel this shoulder season (May - Sept), almost travelers can get lower hotel costs and not crowded.

  • When travelling on this land, should bring with you these necessary stuff: anti-sun cream, clothes with long sleeves, hat, sung-glasses and insect-repellent, good shoes, etc...

PROGRAM

 

Day 1: Arrival – Vientiane (Welcome Dinner)

"Xa-bai-di" from Luang prabang!

Flying to Vientiane, you will be met by our local expert and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After a short rest, leaving hotel for sightseeing the major sights of the capital; including Wat Sisaket, which contains more than 8000 Buddha statues, Wat Ho Prakeo the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue and That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. We also see the Patuxay which was built in commemoration of those who died during past wars and today it is the city’s main landmark.

Late afternoon, watching the sunset by the Mekong Riverside. Free in the evening for exploring the city’s nightlife from your side.  Overnight in hotel in Vientiane.

Note:

  • Vientiane city is quite hot and hottest month is April. It is similar to Ho Chi Minh city. Thus, please bring with you anti-sun cream and clothes with long sleeves to protect your skin from the fierce sunlight.

  • We arrange hotel inside dowtown, just take few steps to reach to nearby tourist sites.

Day 2: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (Breakfast, Lunch)

Having breakfast buffet at hotel then we’ll visit the landmarks and iconic symbols such as:

  • Wat Sisaket, the oldest city temple containing over 7 thousands of Buddha statues Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue

  • That Luang Stupa - the most sarced stupa in Laos

  • Patuxay (Lao’s Arc de Triomphe)

  • From there, we visit the local central market known as the ‘Morning Market’ which is a great place to browse for antiques, handmade textiles and gifts.

In the afternoon, we spend the rest of this day touring the Lao capital, visiting the National Museum (closed Tuesday), which exhibits artifacts, photos and stories of Laos’s military as well as the countries leaders throughout time.

Then directly drive to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang heritage site which is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. On arrival, we check-in hotel for relaxing before strolling around the Night Market. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to visit the sacred stupa as well facing to the beautiful city panorama view. Overnight in Luang Prabang .

Day 3: Half day city tour and scenic boat trip to Pak Ou cave (Breakfast, Lunch)

In the morning, start half day historical city tour

We take a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong.

In the afternoon, we enjoy a cruise upstream on the Mekong River which also offering a attractive visit to Pak Ou cave as well as a beautiful view of the deeply peaceful countryside to bring transquil to our mind.

On way, we stop-in at the village of Ban Xanghai and learn the procession of making rice wine in traditional technique. It is very easy to get drunk if you smell it too long or sip a small cup of wine. Stay restful night in the hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Departure (Breakfast)

Early morning walk-up is worthy to witness the most important ceremony of the local - Daily Monks Aims Giving Ceremory. All the monks will take slowly long walk through the Old Quarter area to ask for food which is long-time unique tradition in Laos. 

Following breakfast, we will start our last day with a visit to The National Museum at the former Royal Palace and Morning local market with the pretty stuffs you never found out in other its neighboring countries in Southeast Asia as well.It is time to say goodbye Laos - the land of friendly hospitality.
