PROGRAM
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city arrive - Dinner on cruise or Home Hosted Dinner
Upon arrival, our guide will pick you up and transfer to city center for hotel check-in.
At 6:30pm, you are met at hotel lobby, transfer to the port to embark the cruise. When cruise is running along Saigon river, you have chance to enjoy the city lights and panoramic view of Ho Chi Minh city and of course, enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The trip ends around 21.00.
If you prefer more cozy and unique Dinner experience, we suggest Home Hosted Dinner option which show you how to explore the real culture and daily life of the local by having dinner with the host family.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city tour - shopping
8.00 am meet tour expert at your hotel lobby, begin the exploration of Ho Chi Minh city, including the Reunification Palace that was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975. Then, continuing our trip visiting War Remnants Museum that is formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes. This is a poignant display the futility of war. Close to the museum, we go to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office that are some of the best examples of French colonial architecture. Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883, and the stones used to create it were exported in its entirety from France.
Next to the cathedral stands the Central Post Office that is the country’s largest post office was built since 1891. It is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam's largest post office. Have lunch in nice restaurant.
After lunch, take continuing to Cho Lon that is well justified as Vietnam’s largest market. Then we visit Thien Hau temple. Before finishing our tour, there is a wide selection of goods at Ben Thanh Market - a bustling. The tour finishes at approximately 6pm when you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 3: Cu Chi tunnel - Cao Dai temple
08:00 Am, you are met at hotel lobby. Travel through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province. Visit the Cao Dai holly See temple where the followers of this religion practice a unique religious blend of all the major faiths of the world. The temple is dominated by the all-seeing eye, is an architectural wonder, a hotchpotch of styles from its contributing religions and ornamented in brilliant colors.
The daily service is impressive. The worshippers wear robes of different hues denoting their function and status, and kneel in blocks in the nave to genuflect and pray while acolytes perform complex rituals.
After lunch, drive to the incredible Cu Chi tunnel, a 250 km underground tunnel system, was created manually by Vietnamese resistance fighters often known as Viet Cong during their long struggle for independence. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Transfer to your hotel later the afternoon.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh city - My Tho boat trip - Transfer to Can Tho
8:00 AM: Our tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city with a drive to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province 72 km from Ho Chi Minh City (Former Saigon). You will take time to visit Vinh Trang pagoda, the most beautiful pagoda of the province with mixture structure of many styles.
Then take a boat trip round 4 beautiful islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. The boat brings you through Vam Xep canal where you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life.
Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos making. Visit traditional house at Quoi An village (all make from coconut). See coconut collection set and how locals make handicrafts from trunk and shell, guests can see that they waste nothing, coconut even useful from wedding to funeral.
Enjoy seasonal fruit and listening to traditional music. Take horse cart on village path and stop at Ben Truc orchard, taste honey with tea or Mekong whisky (they have a funny rule for guests to get in). Also, we will visit coconut candy mill (special product of Ben Tre province). Enjoy a fantastic lunch at local restaurant. Then we will take small boat through Vam Chua small canal. Drive to Can Tho for hotel check-in.
Day 5: Cai rang floating village - Ho Chi Minh city
07:00: Take a boat trip (3 hours) to see Cai Rang, the biggest floating market in the Western of Vietnam. On the way you’ll visit a rice noodle factory and learn how to make rice Noodle. Then take a slow boat trip along the small beautiful canals. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant before back to Hochiminh around 12 at noon.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh city - drive to Vung Tau
Take 2-hour drive to Vung Tau. On arrival, check-in the resort and relax on the beach. Overnight in your boutique resort with private beach in Vung Tau
Day 7: Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh city departure
After breakfast in hotel, you are free until being transferred to airport for departure flight.
Note: Some alternatives we can do if you prefer beach with more outdoor sport activitie:
Option 1: Taek 6-hour drive to Mui Ne beach
Option 2: Take 2-hour speed boat on the next morning to Phu Quoc isolated island
Option 3: Take speed boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh (capital of Cambodia) then take 2-3 hour drive to Sihanouville beach or Koh Rong island.
