Day 01 :  Yangon Arrival

Today is our first step of Asian journey, upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Your hotel is located inside Yangon city center – formerly called Rangoon - the biggest city of Burma. However, the capital city is Naypyidaw.

Your first impression is that it has the character of the colonial and spiritual heritage with a giant “garden of pagodas”. If Vietnam is kingdom of motorbikes, Burma is kingdom of cars everywhere with the absence of bikes.

If time permits, in the afternoon, we will explore the city around by sightseeing:

Cyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, Kadawgyi and Royal Lake, which is home to a hamsa -shaped floating barge.

After a short tea break, head to Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Overnight in Yangon. (No meal)

 

Day 2 - Yangon - Pyay - Biking

Breakfast at the hotel, after short preparation, we jump off the bike to Bagan – the forgotten sanctuary of the giant stupas and temples. You will be amazed with the super peaceful atmosphere, smiling friendly local and typically colorful culture.

First ride: Our support van will transfer you to Latpadan (142 km in 7 hours) and we will cycle on-route. It is very flexible to adjust your biking route shorter or longer to suit your health.

Second ride: We can bike or sit on car from Latpadan to Pyay (156km in 6 hours).

On the way, we pass by the quite small roads, local markets and the villages. It is possible to stop and say “Hi” to the local, take photos with them and learn more about the rural Burmese lifestyle.

 

Upon arrival in Pyay, we will explore a round of this city before check-in hotel for relaxing. If time permits, we will enjoy the magnificent view of Irrawaddy river and the surrounding area from this hilltop temple. Overnight in Pyay.

Day 3 - Pyay - Magway - Biking

We kick off the new day with a medium bike route of 60 km from Pyay to Magway. Following Thit Yar Kaut Street, we reach to Koe Pin Junction which is mostly flat and less-traffic jam.

After biking, our car waits you at the venue to pick you up and transfer to Magway (26 km distance). Having lunch at the local restaurant and enjoy the traditional tea break.

Day 4 - Magway – Mt Popa - Biking & Trekking

Wake up early in the morning and have a full breakfast meal for a challenging bike to Mount Popa which has the distance of 90 km.

Cycling route will lead us to the scenic landscape of the toddy palm fields where we can stop for taking photos and observing the full procession of making toddy juice. This tree plays an essential role in Burma agricultural economics. Its function is very diverse from providing juice, sugars to making household utensils and medicines.

Following lunch, in the afternoon, we reach to the hotel in Mt. Popa Moutain Resort which will amaze you with the beautiful eco-friendly garden and fresh swim in the transparent pool.

Day 5 - Mt Popa - Bagan - Biking & Hiking

With a selection of various dynamic activities of walking, visiting local villages and cycling, you will enjoy your biking route today.

In the morning, walking around with the local to explore the top of Mount Popa before going downhill to Bagan. On the way, the scenery of the ancient mystery giant stupas is slowly appearing in the front of us. They are waiting us to be unveiled.

Day 6 -  Bagan -  (By Bus)- Yangon

Today, we just relax with a short drive from Bagan to Yangon.

Then recovering your health, visiting some places you shouldn’t miss in Yangon and well-prepare your luggage for your home flight on the next day.

Overnight on bus. (No meal)

 

Day 7 : YANGON – BANGKOK - Luang Prabang

After night bus, we arrive in Yagon and you will be picked up then transferred to Yangon airport for flight home or next destination. It is time to say goodbye to your Asian journey.
