PROGRAM

Day 01: Saigon arrive – city tour (-, L, -)

Arrival city is Saigon, fly to Tan Son Nhat airport, our local expert meets you up and transfer to the city center for hotel check-in for interesting half day city tour. We will visit some iconic symbol of this city as well as some valuable historical relics as follows:

Visiting the Reunification Palace that was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam in the past but nowadays, its function is to serve for tourists and travelers.

Later on, reveal the charming beauty of French historical relics such as: Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office that are some of the best examples of French colonial architecture. Notre Dame Cathedral was built 19th century and the stones they used to build it were exported from France.
Next to the cathedral is the Central Post Office that is the country’s largest post office was built since 1891. It is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam's largest post office. Then enjoy hassle-free drop-off at your hotel.

Day 02: Saigon – Can Tho (B, L, -)
Start around 2 hour drive to the outskirt of Ho Chi Minh city, leave the bustling city behind, enjoy the scenic countryside in the rural area. On arrival in My Tho, first stop is to visit Vinh Trang pagoda to get first impression about this area's religion. Next stop is at the pier to take a leisurely boat ride along the river. En-route, sightseeing the stilt houses, orchards and fishing villages along the river bank. 
After having lunch in local restaurant, start cruising on a  sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals or practise to paddle the sampan by yourself. Then enjoying seasonal fruit & honey tea while watching Southern Vietnamese folk music which is performed by the locals. Later on, call-in a small family-run factory which specialize on producing the delicious coconut candies. Come to taste candies & observe the traditional procession to make it and enjoy the local life of Mekong delta as you ramble through the orchads and village. After that, short walk to the venue to get on the bus and procceeding to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 03: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B, L, -)
In this morning, wake-up early to enjoy the busiest atmosphere of the floating local market. Take a gentle boat trip to explore the picturesque scenery of the Lower Mekong river (also called Bassac River), then reaching to visit Cai Rang floating market (& Phong Dien is optional), which are the most dynamic in the whole religion. Then hanging around the village, meeting the friendly locals and learn how to cross a "Monkey bridge" which is built by only one stem of bamboo. Having lunch at local restaurant before proceeding to Chau Doc. Upon arrival, continue to visit Tra Su wild birds Sanctuary, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of marvelous canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical bird species. Back to the town for hotel check in. Overnight in Chau Doc. 

Day 04: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B, -,D)
Breakfast box then embark speed boat (6 hours) to Phnom Penh. 
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local expert and then drive to the city center for hotel check-in. Lunch on your own arrangement. I
n this afternoon, start your highlighted city tour including:

  • Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the National Museum built in 1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts.

  • Royal Palace built in 19th century, Silver Pagoda is located within the this palace compound Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda stand up on the hill.

Day 05: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B,L,-)
Enjoy lovely buffet breakfast.

At 08:00 Be ready at your hotel's lobby to visit Cheung Ek, better known as the Killing Fields, one of the most terrific historical site during the war in the past. There were the unlimited numbers of people were killed and buried in the biggest grave in this world and you can't imagine how is scared until you see it in your eyes and feel it with your heart.

Later, if time permits we will visit Russian market (famous for cheap daily life stuffs) before go out for lunch then transfer to Mekong Express Bus station for departure to Siem Reap (12.30pm – 18.30pm). On arrival, you will be welcomed then check-in hotel for relaxing.  First night in the hotel in Siem Reap

 

Day 06: Siem Reap (B,L,-)
Breakfast at your hotel, visit the Rolous group of temples, the monuments of Rolous which served as the ancient capital in the late 9th century and mark the beginning of Khmer classical art. This group is included 3 temples: Preah Koh, Bakong and Lo Lai 

  • Bakong is the largest and most interesting among three of them

  • Lolei is built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor. Nowadays, it is just area the local plant rice fields in the surrounding

  • Let's amaze yourself with the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm which is an incredible sight. 

Subsequently, we continue to reveal this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevada. Spend another night at hotel in Siem Reap

Day 07: Siem Reap (B,-,D)

Today will be the most highlighted memory during your stay in Cambodia.

If you can walk-up very early morning, we will have chance to watch sunrise stunning scenery. Start exploring the temple complex of Angkor which are declared as UNESCO cultural world heritage site and also good place for Hollywood crew to shoot film. It is complex of temples, pavilions, courtyasrds and Yin Yang pond.

Firstly, we will spend a full day exploring the South Gate of Angkor Thom - another complex of temple which is more vast than Angkor Wat(including Bayon and other fabulous temples). This complex is set in a mysteric landscape with the treeroots covering parts of the temple. 

At the time you step on this sanctuary, you will touch the totally different world, it seems we get lost in the most mysterious place in the world. Tonight, we enjoy special dinner with Apsara dance show. Stay another night in the hotel in Siem Reap.

 

Day 08: Siem Reap – fly Luang Prabang (B, L, -)

Breakfast at your hotel.

Today, take short drive (around 35 - 40 km) to visit Banteay Srei temple which is waiting for us to reveal its hidden charming. This oldest temple was constructed with special material of pink sandstone and has very fine carvings of Hindu gods which are still kept in best conservation condition when compared to other temples in Angkor complex.

Continue to the grand circuit - the group of Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mébon and Pre Rup Temples. Free at your own leisure time for hanging around the local markets to impact the local commuity and learn how to bargain when buying something from the local vendors. Being transferred to Siem Reap international airport for departure to Luang Prabang.

When arrival, check-in hotel and short relax before hanging around for first impression about this transquil city by visiting Wat Xiengthong - the oldest temple here.
Next destination is the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

Ending our day with the dynamic and interesting climb to the top of Mount Phousi and admiring the panoramic view of the city and the sun is setting over the calm river. 

When climbing down to the footage of Phousi Mount, strolling around Night market area where you can find a finest selection of handmade textiles and handicrafts locally made by both ethnic Lao and hilltribe people living nearby Luang Prabang. 
"Tasting" night life inside Ancient town is one of must-do-thing in this place, shouldn't miss it with no reason. Overnight in Luang Prabang 

 

Day 09: Luang Prabang - Kuangsi waterfall (B, -, -)
Highlighted your trip with watching the fantastic daily morning ritual of alms giving to saffron clad monks. You can't find out any mysteric ceremony like that in any country except for Laos. The speciality is this event is still well-preserved until now. 
It last from 6am to 8am then we are hanging around Morning Local Market where selling the cutest and unique stuffs we have never seen that before, even Asian tourists. Should remember to bring camera with you and don't miss any precious moment to catch these beautiful things in your life. 
Later on, return to your hotel, enjoy buffet breakfast. After short rest, depart to Kuangsi waterfall for 1-hour driver (30km). Besides it, we also visit Bear Rescued Center.  
On the way return to Luang Prabang, we stop-in Ban Phanom to witness the procession to make hand-weaving befor echeck-in hotel.
Your evening is free to unveil this downtown on your own style or just well-treat yourself with spa or massage services or just sitting on small chair while sipping Laos beer at the riverside local stores.  Overnight in Luang Prabang 

 

Day 10: Luang Prabang – fly Hanoi city tour + Street food (B, -, D)
Free until being transferred to airport for morning flight to Hanoi.
Arrive in Hanoi, check-in hotel for relaxing.

In early afternoon, you will start Hanoi City Tour by a private car with some famous iconic symbol of this capital city:

  • Temple of Literature

  • Tran Quoc pagoda - oldest one on West Lake

  • Visiting Ethnolocy museum or Woman museum (very interesting places).

  • Let’s sightsee some French colonial architectures: Cathedral Church, Opera House, Post Office,...

At 17:00, drive to Old Quarter, enjoying gentle walk, crossing some roads and corners from your hotel, we will drop-in one local beer store on the street. You will have a chance to sit on small chairs, taste local Draught beer (called Bia Hoi” in Vietnamese) on big glass and try how to say “Cheer” in Vietnamese style. Trying “Bia Hoi”, chatting with the local guide and the expats about some local funny stories while watching the crowd of people on the street will be unforgettable memory in Hanoi.
The next is to try “Pho”-noodle soup with beef-famous street food and many other delicious food are waiting for us. About hygiene, we hand-pick the selected restaurant to guarantee the quality of food.
Then we will enjoy short walk to get to some bars or pubs inside Hanoi Old Quarter-busiest night life area under the support of our escort guide (Drink in bar and pub is on your own cost). Around 22:00, we will be back to hotel for relaxing.  

Day 11: Hanoi free day for shopping around (B)

Free all day to explore this hustling city in your own way or shopping around to pick-up the adorable souvenirs for your friends and relatives. Enjoy your last night in Hanoi.

 

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong bay (B, L, D)
At 07:45 - 08:15, our presentative meet you up at hotel's lobby then heading out to Ha Long Bay which is declared as UNESCO World Natural Heritage. 
In Ha Long, you will sail your cruise for an overnight stay amongst nearly 2,000 limestone island emerging in bay and pass many rock formations with various shapes and sizes. Then sample a delicious seafood lunch while sightseeing the panorama view of the bay.
In the afternoon, you will visit the fishing farm, a refreshing swim and kayaking to explore other caves/lagoons. At 19:00, enjoy a spectacular dinner. Overnight on board. 

Day 13: Halong bay sightseeing (B, L, D)
Today, we cruise further to Bai Tu Long Bay, spend more time on kayaking and swimming as well as other outdoor activities. 

Immerse yourself in the different world, just you and the nature, immerse yourself in the forever peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy second night on board.

Day 14: Halong bay - Hanoi (B, L, -)
Start the day with calming Tai Chi, often accompanied by an amazing sunrise and the quiet breath-taking beauty of the bay’s landscape. The cruise passes beautiful spots and you will sail further before having buffet brunch on board. Back at the dock, where you will be met and transferred to Hanoi by shuttle bus. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 15: Hanoi free (B, -, -)
Free all day. Overnight in Hanoi

 

Day 16: Hanoi – fly Bangkok (B, -, -)
Breakfast at hotel, then enjoying free time till the transfer to Noi Bai Airport for flight to Bangkok - Thailand. 
In the afternoon, we unveil this city by visiting the below landmarks:

  • Grand Palace complex is composed of Temple of the Emerald Buddha

  • The Outer Court, with many public buildings;

  • The Middle Court, including the Phra Maha Monthien Buildings, the Phra Maha Prasat Buildings and the Chakri Maha Prasat Buildings;

  • The Inner Court and the Siwalai Gardens quarter.

After that, take private transfer back to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Bangkok. 

 

Day 17: Bangkok sightseeing (B, L, -)
Breakfast at your hotel. 
Our local expert travels with you to one of the most destination of Thailand that is the unique Damnoen Saduak (70 miles faraway from Bangkok).

If this is the first time of sightseeing a floating market in Southeast Asia, you are amazed with the houses on stilts and this market is very bustling with the hundreds of boatman who is selling many stuffs from fruits, vegetable, the costumes of Thai women to fake handbags, food, etc... Along boat trip, you can see people washing their clothes in the canal, as well as bathing in the canal. 
Subsequently, watching the Thai village show to get deep understanding about the culture and lively daily life of Thai.  Stay a restful night in Thailand.

Day 18: Bangkok - Ayutthaya  (B, L)
After breakfast (at the hotel), private car takes us to Ayutthaya Ancient Ruin (44 miles on private transfer). It is the ancient city of Thailand in the past. Nowarday, it is one of famoust tourist sites where there were lots of temples, palaces and statues of Buddha in the surrounding.

Spend one day in site before return to the hotel and enjoy another night in Bangkok. 

Day 19: Bangkok - Chiangmai (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel and do your own leisure time before moving to the airport for short fly to Chiang Mai. 
In the afternoon, visit the most famous temples such as: Wat Chianh Man, Wat Phra Singh, Wat Suan Dok. Overnight at the hotel in Chiang Mai.  

Day 20: Chiang Mai – Chiang Dao – Chiang Mai (B, L, -)
Breakfast at your hotel before departure.
In the morning, transfer to Ta Yaak village, Chiang Dao where is well-known by elephant training center. It is about 38 miles from Chiang Mai (estimated time is 1 hour drive), on half of way, our car will visit some long neck hill-tribe villages. Sightseeing the countryside scenery of the outskirt of Chiang Mai with the daily life of Ethnic people will make your day highlighted.
Arrive in Chiang Dao District, we join in the elephant working camp along the banks of Mae Ping. 
The ambience is very calm and transquil, it is available many outdoor activities to get closer to the elephant and making friend with them: other activities like feeding food, riding and bamboo rafting or riding elephant if you prefer. Enjoy your last night in this peaceful place. 

 

Day 21: Bangkok departure (B, -, -)
Morning free and transfer to airport for flight to Bangkok and connect flight to back home. Leaving Southeast Asia with a bag of full memories. "Tam biet" - See you again!
